My name is Derek Dawkins. I am a College Graduate and Prior Military. My Production Company is called Daekei  Productions and I am from Richmond Virginia. I would consider a lot of my music laid back soulful and Funk hip hop. I work from the Soul. I am currently working on projects including  my own distribution label. I am  currently looking for talent now and in the near future.

I have  been around music my entire life. Music runs all through my family. I started making music back in 2001 and received  my first Drum machine Sampler. It was the Yamaha  Su 700. When i first received  that piece it was like i already knew what to do. I believed a gift has risen on the inside  .
